How's everybody going with this? Read through the first bits of Luke, Acts and 1 Samuel yet?
Anything jump out at you?
For me - I love how many times Luke uses the word 'joy'! Even when he's talking about John the Baptist being born, there's the word 'joy' popping up all over the place. Here's the guy who's going to prepare the way for Christ - and that's worthy of joy and praise. As Christians, we don't use that word enough, and don't often live it well. We should be people of celebration and of joy - recognising the beauty and the goodness in this world, and especially in the death and resurrection of Christ. What a great reason to celebrate!
