Okay so in my view I want to know a more indepth study of revelations. There are so many perspectives that can be taken on this particular chapter of the bible. And people are beginning to say things like "economic crash was foretold in revelations" and stuff like that. do we need to be prepared for what is to come?!
what do you guys think?

hey bro, yeah revalations is a book that is often and esaly miss-interpretated but i think the only thing we need to prepare for is the return of jesus and how many people live life with the expectation of jesus returning lets say tomo. as for foretold things if you follow the pattern in the bible foretolds have always reflected jesus comming, returning, and the fate of the world on the whole rather than particular singled out events like an economic crash?

hmm true. but its not just one event. if someone was to suddenly come up with conclusions because of one event, they would seem a little crazy right? but i guess its always good to keep our eyes and ears open.

Yeah, the hard thing with Revelations is, at the end of the day, no-one has any idea what a lot of it is talking about. Some people think it's talking about what's going to happen in the future, some people think it's talking about events that have already happened. Some people think it's real metaphorical, others think it's very literal. It's a real tough book - and it's good to study, but at the end of the day - I think a lot of personal opinion and ideas comes in when you hear people's views on Revelations. And ultimately - I dunno - but I don't think a lot of the stuff makes a massive difference too life when you're just looking to interpret the world around you.
Does Revelations predict the economic downfall? I dunno. My gut says "Nope", but maybe it did. But the bigger message in Revelations is that Jesus is coming back, and His Kingdom is going to come fully. That is the message that should change our lives, and the one we should know. Just my thoughts.
