Kiaora everyone,
I got some good comments about the Christmas tree from folk who saw it on Sunday - good times! I'll still try to grab some more tinsel and stuff to complete the wrapping.
I think we'll try for painting on Thursday - the weather report says it's meant to be the best day (although it could still be a bit iffy). I'll keep ya posted.
Remember - basketball tomorrow night at RSCC, at 7pm. Spread the word.
Also - if you've got any gifts left to give to The Nest (Salvation Army ministry, gives presents to under-priveleged children) - then please bring them into church either today or tomorrow morning - I'll be taking them over tomorrow afternoon.
Cool!

Very true, all we really need is one more string of red tinsel. And did anyone notice at the sunday service that the star on the tree had fallen off a bit and was lying on a branch horizontally? Irking me all service that was. Couldn't fix it though, I had to sing carols then zoom off to Hams for the parade.

Hey all!
Since my last post, another sweet opportunity has come up - anyone keen to help me weed the church garden tomorrow morning? If no-one comes - sweet as, won't take too long - but if you're keen, it should be good times. Hopefully we'll have a few elderly people as well to go and clean their windows - I'll keep ya posted.
If keen - meet tomorrow at church at 9.30. Bring a jacket if it's wet.
Thanks heaps!

Flip - and again! I just found out that we're on for serving coffee and tea to folk at church this Sunday - if you can help out here, please let me know. Just means shooting out of church at the end and serving - pretty easy.
Sorry that all these jobs so far are based at church - I'm really wanting to get us out in the community! It'll happen, I got some ideas...

Flip - I'm being a hungus here - all is confirmed for painting at Marias. We'll meet at church at 9.45am (I can pick people up if needed), and we'll start painting at 10. Might be out there for a few hours - wear old clothes - and Maria said she'll cook us lunch - how cool is that!
Again, bring anyone you want to help - don't have to be RSCC Youth folk - whoever is keen to paint is welcome. Please let me know if you're coming!

Yo - a massive thanks to everyone who helped out yesterday. The painting wizards - Christina, Chels, Olivia, Josh and Jesse - flip, that deck looked mint at the end of it! Our resident tough men - Logan and Chris O'Brien - they revolutionised the world of shifting houses. And Sarah and Scott - never have such funds been raised for a charity with such grace and flair! Excellent work everyone, made my heart jump for joy to see so many youth serving yesterday!
Last possible things before Christmas:
If anyone reads this - I will be at Subway (despite my claims yesterday) at lunchtime today at 1pm, with Mr Paul Gardiner. If anyone wants to join us - that'd be a pleasure.
Also, if anyone has nothing to do - there are a few elderly folk at church who'd love to have youth come round to clean their windows, eat their biscuits, drink cordial and talk about good old times. It's probably one of the greatest ways we can serve - respecting the elderly. If keen - get in touch with me, and I can work it out. Probably less scary if you go as a pair - so ask a friend too! Again, they don't have to come to RSCC or anything, all welcome.
Also, supposedly there's weeding to do at church. Should be fun - if anyone is around next Tuesday morn, we could shoot out and kill the evil weeds!
Finally - next Tuesday (leaving church at 3ish) - I'm going to go donate blood at the Waikato Hospital. I think Grace and Jo-Ellen are coming along too, so if you're keen to join the bleeding club - let me know. You've got to be over 16, and if you donated blood in the last 3 months, I think you're void. I failed a few weeks ago, so will try again!
Awesome - thanks for being the incredible Youth Community you are!
