Given our track record you should realize by now that we do in fact, have nothing to do.

Yeah, that's true. I was talkingto Dad and Helen a few nights ago, and I told them i'd been painting. Helen said "Ah, so in other words, you had nothing to do so you painted their deck? Haha you should paint ours!" See? It's worldwide knowledge in our household!!

Well, the blood drive is over. Dwain, Olivia, Krystle and myself managed to bleed half a litre of the red juice out of our bodies, with great moral support from Grace, Jo-Ellen, Peter and the Finnish Wonder. All was well - Olivia didn't look at her arm for the first 4 mins, but still finished with a great time. Dwain squeezed the blood out of his arm like a trooper, and Krystle kept her Canadian spirits up high. Although she ended up being a bit of an extra bleeder, and lost some of her hearing for a while there - her smile soon returned, and all was well.
Mad props to the NZ Blood Bank - the most comfortable chairs I've ever bled in, the cricket up on a big plasma screen, and free real juice and coffee, along with nice biscuits. It was almost heaven on earth.

Haha yeah, Dwain went sooo white! The only colour I could see on his face was in his cheeks. He got the privilege of having a bottle of water WITH a straw! And Jeremy finished in lightning time, I asked him if they had started on him yet, and, with a big grin on his face, he said they had already finished! I didn't actually believe him until he hopped out of his chair and sauntered on over to the waiting area. And it didn't quite help when people said "Oh WOW, olivia, look at all that blood pouring out!!!" I just can't stand looking at needles, when they go in, stay in, or go out! The only reason I even looked in the end was because it had a paper towel over it! But well done guys, we saved up to 12 lives with our little rivers of life! I'm glad I did it in the end, what better feeling can you get for christmas knowing that you saved up to 3 lives with your blood alone? Legend! And there's one quote from Krystle that i'll never forget.."Dwaain, touch my blood!!!"

Hey, I think things will be pretty quiet in the Youth Community through most of January, good chance for us to take a bit of a break, hang out with family more and enjoy this weather! However, if anyone is really looking for something to do (or even better, if two of you are), I got a few little odd jobs up my sleeves (not literally). Also - if anyone is keen, I'd love to get some of our brilliant youth hanging out with some of the elderly people from church - let me know if you're interested.

Hey everyone, This year at parachute there is a group trying to get as many people to pray for parachute festival as possible. They are hoping to pray for all the nonchristians, and want to see what god can do. They have a bebo site www.bebo.com/prayforthepunters and it would be great if u can join... Here is some of what it says on their page "Join the nation in an hour of prayer from 11pm on friday the 23rd of January until we see it fit to finish (which will be some time after midnight) With the amount of non-christians going to a christian event, it only leaves room for God to work wonders. What can you do to help? Join the group and get ready to make a difference to the youth of our nation." One of the people organising it is a good friend of mine so it would be really cool if our whole youth community could get behind this and help him out.

Haha - this will be a great chance for you to learn then brother! Text people, ask people on the forum, let people know why they should come - and let them know when and where. Encourage people - and also remember that this won't necessarily be everyones cup of tea. Let me know if ya need a hand, but I'm sure you can do fine at this bro.

Hey all - I'm kinda busy at work this week, but may be able to get a few things off the ground...but - what I think would be cool is if some others wanted to organise something? Think about what you'd love to do, pray about this - then post it and make it happen. You could get a group together to read through some of the Bible together, you could meet and pray together, you could go pick up rubbish together, you could go get coffee together - the world is your oyster!
So, if you got some spare time - go on, organise something, it'll be fun.

Kiaora,
There might be a few young adults grabbing dinner tonight, and eating out at the Karapiro Domain. I think we're meeting at 6pm at the Town Square, grabbing some food (whatever ye want - Subway, Pizza Hut, KFC, Fish'n'Chips), then shooting out to Karapiro. If ya keen to come along - meet at the Town Square at 6pm (I guess kinda by Shell), also - I can't guarantee transport or anything, so if you can steal a car or someone with a full license, that'd help a bit.

Hey Guys!
For those how are keen for a bit of reading and discussion there will be a time for open bible reading at the Levendis residence on Friday at 1pm. This is an open invitation, anyone can come- just bring along your bible, anything you've been reading lately and an open mind. It'll be a relaxed time to share with other's what you've been reading lately, discuss how God's word applies to your life and cover some new ground. Flick me a text or email and I can whip ya up some directions to my place.
Be cool to see you there!
P.S Check out the new thread on 'Christ in our lives' to discover how God worked this Idea together for you guy's.
